I have started many new projects the last couple of days and this is one of them. A silk dress for me. I’m knitting with 3,75mm needles and the Soft Silk yarn we sell in our net shop.  I decided to knit size M, but after a while I saw that it probably would be to big for me so I had to start over. And I hate starting over! Hopefully this dress will be finished until my grandfathers birthday on the 25th. of Juli. I love this colour, well I love every shade of purple but this shade is one of my favorites.

Isn’t it cute this needle binder that I bought from Giram. I just love the colour and the patter is just what I was looking for. If you want one fore your self you can visit her shopping site Mariannes netthus.

I have all ready moved in to it and it’s so much easier to find the needles when ever I need them 🙂

Thanks Marianne 🙂

glynisMy mum and I are members of the same along. The Cookie A. knit along on Hobbyboden. The first par of socks in this along is called glynis and here are they. We finished them at the same day 🙂 This is not one of my favorite patterns from Cookie A. It`s to messy and it`s difficult to see the pattern. I`m glad they are finished so that I can start on the next par in the book Sock Innovation. The green ones are mine the red ones are my mums 🙂

I have used the yarn Supersock Select Semi-solids from Cherry Tree Hill Yarn, you can find it in our net shop MerGarn.no.

Two days ago I finished the shawl that Stine asked me to knit for her. It`s a beautiful patten and it`s very easy to knit. I also think the size was very good. Big but not to big and very light. I have never used pearls when knitting a shawl before and I just love the look of it. The pearls gives the shawl a more expensive and delicate look. I`m very pleased with the way it came out. Shetlandsuld is a thin wool yarn from our net shop, it`s light and suitable for so many things. This is the colourway ny48 on needles 3,25. You need only two skeins of Shetlandsuld for a shawl like this. My plan is to knit one of this shawls for my self but I don`t think I can find time to do it until the fall. I have so many beautiful socks to knit this summer.

I have knitted a pair of socks to a friend that have just move to Svalbard. I have used some yarn I found in my private stash box called Mor Aase. I don`t like this yarn to mush so I`m very pleased that the socks are finished. Kjell called us the day he arrived at Svalbard. The temperature was 16 Celsius bellow zero. That was I mild day! He needed a pair of socks as you probably understand.

Finally the Cookie A. along on Hobbyboden started. I love Cookie A.s sock patterns and have knitted some of her patterns earlier. In this along we shall knit all of the patterns in her book Sock innovation which was in stores from the 1.st. of April. The first pattern in the book is called Glynis. If it was`nt for the along I don`t think I would have knitted this pattern. It`s to messy for my taste. I have started the sock to times ll ready, because I did`nt reed the pattern close enough. Everyone who is in this along and are using ravelry has tagged there project bodenglynis.

I`m using  Supersock Select Semi-Solids and the colour Jade on needles 3mm.

A friend asked me to knit this shawl for her and this is the beginningof the project. A beautiful shawl with pearls and a easy pattern. This is a perfect project for our car trip to Oslo next weekend 🙂 My husbands aunt turned 50 years old in the beginning of April and as a present she is getting is a make over at Jan Thomas Studio. So the whole family is traveling to Oslo next weekend to support her.

The pattern for this shawl was in one of the Norwegian family magazines around Easter. I am using needles size  3,25 and shetlandsuld from our net shop.

I have invited some friends over for knitting on Sunday. Hopefully the weather will be nice so that we can sit outside 🙂 If you also want to come, the door is open 🙂
