One day past the deadline

My Silk Top With Flowers was finished one day past the deadline. My aim was to have it done by the end of February but when you have a three month year old baby you don’t always control your own time. 

The yarn Soft Silk is maid out of 100% bourette silk. I have never knitted with silk before so this was a new experience for me. The thread is not elastic and that’s a strange feeling for someone who is used to knit with wool. I really like the rustic texture of this yarn. Silk Top With Flowers

At home I have a closet full of projects from 2008 which are not finished. My plan for 2009 was to finish one of these projects every month. The project for January was not finished within the 31 days. I had a slow start as you can see. February is nearly over and I have not been any faster this month. I still need to finish half of the front on this top and the yoke.

 

 

 

The Silk Top With Flowers is a summer top in a deep blue colour. The yarn is called Soft Silk and the colourway is ss19. Needles 4/3,5mm. I’m so looking forward until this one gets done, hopefully this would be a beautiful garnment. To knit this top in size M you only need 200g. or two hanks of Soft Silk.

 

 Wish me luck! I have seven and on half hours to get the top done. This time I have to make it within time.
